Barbara Alexander recognized real-estate as her first love in 1981 and the rest is history. In 1999 Howard Hanna Premier Properties by Barbara Alexander became a branchise office of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services. Today this full service real estate agency serves North Central West Virginia with a staff of over 50 skilled Realtors. Howard Hanna Premier Properties by Barbara Alexander is consistently awarded "Top Branchise Office" by the Howard Hanna Corporate offices in Pittsburgh, PA and the office continually ranks among the top three real estate firms in the region.

As Broker/Owner, Barbara contributes to her profession through involvement in numerous committees, associations, and boards. Named as "Realtor of the Year" by her peers in 1996, Barbara has gone on to serve as President of the West Virginia Association of Realtors in 2000 and was appointed Regional Vice President of Region 3 of the National Association of Realtors in 2003. Recognized for her accomplishments in West Virginia Magazine as one of West Virginia’s Top Young Executives, she currently serves The Greater Morgantown Community Trust and is a Charter Member and Director of the Monongahela Valley Bank.
